2012 FOALS

ATWOOD DEBUTANTE THYME
(Winterset Thyme n'Agin x JJF Bell of the Ball)
2012 black filly

Minutes after Deb's birth, we knew she was a good one. Crossing Bell with Winterset Thyme N'Agin doubled the blood of HVK Bell Flaire, and the results are exactly what we'd hope for. Deb is as correct as she can be, and has a gorgeous head with a perfectly upright neck. Aubrey Alford, of Indian Hills, CO recognized Deb's quality and has a high opinion of Deb's dam. Deb will now grow up in the Rocky Mountains, just as JJF Bell of the Ball did. Deb was one we hated to part with, but we know she will have an excellent home in Colorado. We wish Aubrey much success.

ATWOOD DJIBOUTI
(Rio's Promise x Golden Legacy Starbright)
2012 buckskin colt

Ti is Lacy's first foal and we weren't disappointed. He appears to have inherited the ability to trot through his dam's Trophy blood as well as her size and excellent legs . His beautiful head and large eye are compliments of his sire's crosses to Shaker's Rio and UVM Promise. He also is one of the friendliest, most people-oriented foals we've had at Atwood Farm.

2010 FOAL

ATWOOD BEGUILING BATIK
(Notahoby Independence x Nonesuch Very Special)
2010 chestnut colt

Our friends Jack and Becky Caley of JRC Morgans were fortunate to obtain a grandson of both Beamine and Waseeka's Skylark from the Cochran Auction. Sired by Wildtime and out of Brentwood Elegance, Notahoby Independence is a beautiful example of a classic Morgan. We were so impressed by his looks and his offspring that we chose him as a breeding choice for Nonesuch Very Special. Atwood Beguiling Batik is the first foal bred by Atwood Farm and we couldn't be happier with him. Batik has shed out to his mother's dark chestnut color and has a perfect small star and snip to accent his head which is a beautiful combination of his parents'. Batik is easy to work with and enjoys being around people. At only a week old he was flagging his tail and trotting level. SOLD

2009 FOALS

ATWOOD AGAMEMNON
(AEM Lucky Wynne x Nonesuch Very Special)
2009 chestnut colt

When we purchased Nonesuch Very Special ("Iris") in March of 2009, she was carrying a foal by AEM Lucky Wynne. Lucky Wynne has two crosses to Waseeka's In Command, (one through the beautiful Duke of Wynne) as well as a touch of Funquest breeding. Atwood Agamemnon was foaled in May of 2009, and from the start he entertained us with his curiosity and zest for life. He had his sire's brilliant red color and full blaze and his dam's beautiful head and neck. Never has a foal loved to run more than Agamemnon, and he also quickly showed a talent for jumping fences. Despite his boundless energy, Agamemnon has a sweet disposition and loves people. SOLD

ATWOOD ARABELLA
(HVK Dragon Beat x JJF Bell of the Ball)
2009 black filly

JJF Bell of the Ball (HVK Bell Flaire x Sun South Capri) was about a month away from foaling when purchased by Atwood Farm. Bell's third foal by Mark Yoder's black stallion, HVK Dragon Beat (And The Beat Goes On x HVK Special Delivery) was foaled in April, 2009. We were hoping for something special as this would be the first foal to carry the Atwood prefix and we weren't disappointed. Arabella's exceptional refinement and feminity were there from the start. With two crosses to Noble Flaire and three to Vigilmarch, she carries the best of the Kohler breeding program. Crossing Bell Flaire bred horses with And The Beat Goes On has been successful for Dragonsmeade Farm and that blend is evident in Arabella. By the spring of her yearling year, we were really liking what we saw. We wanted Arabella to compete at the regional level, so sent her to John Hufferd of Triumph Stables. After only six weeks of training, Arabella showed at the 2010 Gold Cup where she won her class (yearling and under fillies) and went on to be named Reserve Junior Champion filly. As a two year old, Arabella has had an additional five months training at Triumph Stable. As the video below shows, she line drives beautifully. She has been hooked and looks to have the talent needed to compete in the pleasure driving division. Arabella has limitless potential in the show ring and one day as an exceptional broodmare. We are proud to offer her FOR SALE.
